There are different types of parallelism, but a simple form of parallelism within one sentence is by using one of these:
* the same parts of speech, like "she was tired, frustrated, famished." where the words tired frustrated and famished are all adjectives used in the same way * a sentence which repeats a parallel construction such as "The picnic was ruined because the sandwiches were stale, the juice was sour, ant the ants were everywhere."
Parallel structure (also called parallelism) is the repetition of a chosen grammatical form within a sentence. By making each compared item or idea in your sentence follow the same grammatical pattern, you create a parallel construction.
