Pre-Professonial programs are those that allow you to prepare yourself for a graduate school following your undergraduate degree. The idea is that with many majors, heavily medical, you will continue to graduate studies after receiving your undergraduate diploma. These programs provide in-depth study to prepare you for the second level of major focused education in the master's program you choose. Many schools have pre-professional programs in a variety of majors. One such example is Walsh University.



Students participating in a pre-professional program are better prepared for graduate-level studies than students pursuing a general nursing undergraduate degree.

It depends on what you mean by pre-professional studies. If you are attending a college or university in pursuit of a degree, is can be referred to as a major, or program of study. If you are in a college or university not pursuing a degree, but are taking a specific designed course layout, then I would imagine you can call the a program. In addition, students who are intending to apply to law school must complete a bachelor's degree first. They must choose a major or we can say a program of study (which can be anything like business, criminal justice, communications, psychology etc.). However, some schools offer a per-law program which is embedded into there major. Thus pre-law is not a degree, but a program to ensure the student will take courses that will best serve as a good foundation for law school.This is also the case for individuals intending to apply to medical school, thus they take a pre-med program yet their major may be Biology, or communications, or any number of other majors.
