(I am sure you know what a public school is but...) A Public School is a school (a place where children learn) where children at the age of 4-5 (Kindergarten) to 17-18 (Year twelve) are taught. [PLEASE NOTE THIS IS ONLY ON AUSTRALIAN CIRCUMSTANCES.] The public school is open to the children of its region, the public school is also open to students who pass the criteria needed to learn at the school (when you are applied to a school by testing or interviewing the school is probably a school higher than primary.) Mainly a public school means it is government supported.
