The difference in salary between a high school graduate and a college graduate is about $20,000 more a year for a person who graduates from college with a bachelor's degree. For example, a person who graduates only from high school can plan to make about $24,000 a year. If a bachelors degree is obtained, they can plan to earn about $44,000 a year. The amount of money earned also increases as the amount of degrees increase. A person holding a master's degree will make around $54,000, someone with a doctoral degree will make around $80,000 a year, and someone with a professional degree will make about $100,000 a year. Of course, the amount of money earned also varies with different professions, but salary usually increases with each degree obtained regardless.
