A "motor home" is a vehicle which also contains a living space. It differs from a "camper" in that it is self-propelled, rather than designed to be towed by a separate vehicle.

The big drawback to a motor home (as opposed to a camper/travel trailer) is that, since it's also your vehicle, you have to pack/secure everything every time you want to go somewhere. If you're parking it at a resort destination where you can walk to everything you want to visit, or if you have friends nearby with a car, this is fine. If you're vacationing and would like to make side trips this can be a pain. For this reason, many people tow a car behind the motor home to be used for local transportation once they reach their destination, the exact opposite of how people with travel trailers do things.
