It depends on what the diploma is in, and where the diploma was taken. New comment- It depends on country to country, university to university and one subject/major to another. for example in India, Postgraduate diploma(PGD) has same duration usually 2-3 years as in Masters degree. And as employment point of view it is equal too. However, Majority of people/employers/government prefer Masters degree over PGD as it seems more reliable. The reason is Masters degree is offered by only those Universities/colleges who are accredited, approved and recognized by Trustful organisations(UGC,DEC,AICTE) monitored by government. PGD is also accredited with same organization BUT with different clauses/laws and rules and PGD universities mostly are deemed universities. Admission eligibilty for PGD and masters degree is same :- Any Bachelors degree is required(in honours/pass/normal degree/second class degree, etc). PurplechaP

Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is a technique which involves the genetic testing of embryos created through IVF for deleterious, heritable genetic conditions which are known to be present in the family of those seeking treatment and from which the embryos are known to be at risk.
PGD is the abbreviated form for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis. This refers to procedures that are performed on embryos prior to implantation, sometimes even oocytes (female gametocytes or germ cells used in reproductions) prior to fertilizations. PGD is considered another way to prenatal diagnosis. Its main advantage is that it avoids selective pregnancy termination as the method makes it highly likely that the baby will be free of the disease under consideration. PGD thus is an adjunct to assisted reproductive technology, and requires in vitro fertilization (IVF) to obtain oocytes or embryos for evaluation. Hope this helps with your work.
Salary, earning potential, and marketability are not only determined by the type of field you are in and the degree you possess. It depends on your position within that field, the institution you work for, your experience, expertise, personal abilities, critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities, dedication and commitment toward ones work, and more. Thus, salary is not so much dependent on the type of degree as much as it is dependent on the person who holds the degree. Still, if you have a specific occupational title, you can then retrieve the estimated mean annual wage particular to that occupation through the U.S. Department of Labor: Bureau of Labor Statistics.
