Man is "der Mann". Woman might be "die Dame" or "die Frau".

"Frau" also means "wife" in German. "Dame" is a bit closer in meaning to "lady" in the sense of being a little formal: "ladies and gentlemen" in German would be "Damen und Herren." (in German, -n or -en is the common way to form a plural, very similar to -s or -es is in English).
