For the class of 2012 (current freshman), the acceptance rate was 26%. It is not 7.5%, because BC has to accept more than double the spots it has as many of those that are accepted choose to enroll at other universities. No it is 7.5 percent...In a pamphlet I received it said they had 30,000 applicants for 2,250 spots...that is only 7.5 percent for incoming freshman
The original poster was right and you're incorrect. They had 30,000 applicants, they accepted a great many of them, and then only 2,250 decided to come to BC. This means the 7.5% number that they give is completely bogus.
That number is better than Harvard's application rate.
