The book, The Good Samaritan by Rene Saldana, Jr. is about a young man named Rey. He talks about his neighbors The Sanchez's who always are gypping Rey and his friends into doing jobs for them by promising them false rewards like using their pool and free refreshments. Rey finally gets tired of it and decides to leave them alone. One day while Rey is on his way to pick up younger brother, he sees Mr. Sanchez stuck at the side of the road with a flat tire. So, Rey decides to get revenge on Mr. Sanchez by leaving him there. But Rey changes his mind and stops to helps Mr. Sanchez. He changes Mr. Sanchez's tire. Mr. Sanchez offers for Rey to come over tomorrow for a barbecue and to use the pool. Rey turns him down saying, "Thanks. But I'll be playing football with the vatos." That's how it ends.
