No, college and grad school are usually not considered the same thing. The general idea is that an individual goes to college, completes coursework and then graduates. That person will take a degree (like a bachelor in arts, science or the like) in some area, and then go on to grad school (graduate school) to further knowledge and head toward a master's degree.

Grad schools are found at many colleges, so going to grad school is just like going to college.
