A benchmark is the result of benchmarking.
benchmarking is aprocess of acquring benchmark
Probably not, but if you were to use a benchmarking tool, there would be a difference.
Motivation is the external impulse that inspires the will to perform something. Competency is the innate skill and ability to actually perform it properly.
a skill you learn throught education or experience. a competency you are born with. most interviews try to question you in a way that shows your competencies mostly
Competence would be a ratio, Capacity is max amount, volume, etc..
core competency is a competitively important factor that a firm better than any other factor..where as distinct competency means an internal factor(it can be company core competency) which differentiate a firm from firm in the same industry or other industry..
Competency is acquiring the determined quality and skill set for being well qualified physically and intellectually where as the set standard level or quality of being adequately or well qualified physically and intellectually is competence.
benchmarking
I think competency include knowledge, skills or abilities in specific area, and behaviour is the demonstration ( the action) upon this competency. Behaviours actualy prove that this competency exist in a person. I think so.
A definition of 'Competence': "Demonstrating the knowledge, skills, experience, and attributes necessary to carry out a defined function effectively." A definition of 'Competency': "The description of the knowledge, skills, experience and attributes necessary to carry out a defined function effectively." In other words competencies describe what has to be done and how well. Competence is doing the required things to the required standard. Competence in a job therefore means being competent at all aspects of each function (competency) required to be performed within the role.
