No, I coach track and they do not, but the difference between girls and boys in middle school seems to be much less than in high school. Probably because girls mature earlier than boys. It also seems that the girls are closer to the boys in the distance events than the sprints. Since I've been coaching (4 years) our fastest times by the girls in some events could make the top ten list of the boys (if I just count the season best times for each athlete), and I would say we're a fairly typical school.
I've seen a 5:11 mile by an 8th grade girl. 2009. I also saw a 5:12 by another 8th grade girl in the same race. Pittsburgh, PA

I believe the record is 19.19 seconds for the 200 meter race and it was set by Usain Bolt in 2009 at the World Championships
middle distance is like a race that is not short or long like a 1000 meter or 2000 meter race would be middle distance a long distance race would probably be more than 4000 meters ultra distance is when the races take hours, days and even months
The only race for hurdles in middle school is the 100m hurdles.
I consider an 800 middle distance and the mile distance. Some however would argue that the mile is middle distance so it depends on what you want to call it but they are definitly not sprinting.
