The closest theme of Journey to the Center of the Earth, in my opinion, is sacrifice for success. The story deals with a scientist- a geologist and his companions journey to the lower levels of the planet- using primitive techniques- not vehicles (odd for gadget-oriented Verne) and the encounters with prehistoric life.
Sometimes the whole point of the journey is not arriving but how you get there. If the story is well-told then it is enjoyable in itself.

The theme of "Sigwa" revolves around redemption, forgiveness, and the power of second chances. The story explores the journey of a man seeking redemption for his past mistakes and the impact of forgiveness on personal growth and healing.
