C - 55-64% (Again, I've seen a C being 50%)
D - 45%-54%
I doubt I will have to go any lower, as you only asked for an A. Just remember these are a guideline. Your year could be amazing at french or they could be appalling.
Also it depends on your exam board but most will follow this type of format. The exam board I'm with has 60% coursework and 40% for the final exam so it really isn't that hard to get at least a B. Just remember to revise joining words such as "comme" because they make all the difference in translation.
