The People of Mecca welcomed Muhammad back to their city in 630 CE, after he and his followers successfully captured Mecca. This event marked the culmination of years of conflict and ultimately led to the city's conversion to Islam. Upon his return, Muhammad forgave many of his former adversaries, promoting a message of unity and peace.
The leader of Mecca, Abu Sufyan, attempted to persuade Muhammad to withdraw his message of monotheism and the criticism of the polytheistic practices prevalent in Mecca. His efforts included offering Muhammad wealth, power, and status in exchange for renouncing his prophethood and the teachings of Islam. Ultimately, these negotiations failed as Muhammad remained steadfast in his mission to spread the message of Islam.

Mecca!!
Prophet Muhammed received his message via the angel Gabriel. Gabriel delivered the word of God directly to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).Initially (in Mecca), Muhammad's message was met with pity and mockery from the majority of the locals. Only the closest people within Muhammad's social circle converted to Islam however, apart from this there were no significant positive responses. After seeing the growing influence of Islam, the leaders of Mecca resorted to persecuting Muhammad and his followers. They even bribed him to let go of Islam, promising him wealth and power. Eventually, Muhammad and his tribe were boycotted and exiled to the Valley of Abu Talib where they had to face inhumane conditions, having nothing to eat or drink. After this exile was ended however, Muhammad resorted to spread his message to Medina. The people of Medina were more welcoming to Muhammad, and his message. They lent an open-ear, Muhammad knew that know from the resultants of the Pledges of Aqabah. So, when he moved to Medina and assumed control, a vast majority received his message with respect and sincerity. It was the city of Medina that allowed Muhammad to nurture Islam and present it as it is now, a global religion.
Muhammad responded to the corruption in Mecca by advocating for social justice, moral integrity, and the worship of one God. He denounced practices such as idolatry, exploitation, and the unequal treatment of the poor and marginalized. Through his teachings and the message of Islam, he sought to reform societal values and promote a sense of community and accountability among the people of Mecca. His message ultimately led to both significant opposition and the establishment of a new religious and social order.
