When adding fluids to the car it is important to add the right type of fluids. A 2002 Saturn sc2 uses Dexron-III/Mercon Transmission Fluid.
all that is required is dexron III.
the dealer told my wife it is AT3 fluid
Mobil 1 or dextron lll synthetic
I dont think manual transmission cars use transmission fluid.
No it does not. Most manual transmissions don't even require a fluid change, but it can't hurt. Capacity for the Saturn is 2.6 quarts
You can not check the transmission fluid on the 2002 L200 or L300, due to this transmission is a sealed transmission. I bought my L200 new and this is one of the new transmissions Saturn was using from Germany. My question at this point is when does the transmission fluid need to be change. Mine has 100k miles plus. I have a chiltons manual on this particular model and this manual gives very ggod directions on how to change the fluid, filter etc. But when. Is 100k miles time to change the fluid and filter. Now I know where to get this answer, call our local Saturn dealer and ask the question.
Automatic: It is located above the transmission fluid filter on the front of the transmission. Manual: There is no Transmission fluid trmperature sensor for the Manual transaxle
Dexron II

You do not need to change the transmission fluid in the Saturn vue. It is a sealed system and only needs to be replaced when the trans needs rebuilding.
Why? There is no need to change the manual transmission fluid in a 2 year old vehicle.
It is ATF
well, the type of ur car depends on it. if u hav ur 1998 saturn, then if its automatic go to ur local wal-mart or auto store and get automatic transmission fluid, if its manual do the same as above and get manual transmission fluid
Yes it does. It carries dexron III ATF
