The ACT was first administered in the year 1959. It was made as a competitor to the SAT by Everett Franklin Lindquist.
Usually junior year of high school, but you can start at the end of sophomore year or finish some tests at the start of senior year.

Two tests are SAT and ACT.
I highly recommend that you take either one one them within your junior year in high school.
ACT tests are scored up to 36. You get point fr every answer you get correct. And, you are not penalized for any questions that you get wrong, like on the SAT.
