On June 29, 1613, The Globe Theatre burned down during a performance of Shakespeare's Henry VIII. Sparks or wadding that flew from a cannon used during the production ignited a thatched roof of the gallery, resulting in the fire. The theater was rebuilt with a tile roof and reopened a year later. The second Globe was torn down about 1644.

The Globe theater was built in 1599 and destroyed in 1613.It was again built on the same site a year later and then closed down in 1642. The current location of Globe theater is about 250 meters from the original site in London and is now called the Shakespeare's globe.

They started building the old globe theater in 1597 and it was finished in 1598. unfortunately it was burnt down on June 29, 1613 by a cannon shot in the performance Henry V111 the new globe theater was rebuilt and opened again in 1997.
