I graduated from Yale with a B.A. in Art in 1991. The Yale admissions process does not include "intended majors". All applicants to Yale College submit the same application materials regardless of intended major. You will not have to "declare" a major until your sophomore year. So focus on the application process in general. For more information, check out the Yale admissions Frequently Asked Questions pages: http://www.yale.edu/admit/faq/applying.html

Excluding men was a strategic decision to emphasize the need for female empowerment and to focus on achieving women's voting rights.
