If you mean the two-part test with a possible maximum score of 1600, a 1500 is likely to result in offers from just about everywhere.
If you mean the three-part test with a possible maximum score of 2400, 1500 is very much average and not at all impressive.
Universities use other criteria than SAT score alone to determine admissions, so in a sense there is no score that will automatically "get you in" to any given university. You can compare your score to the average scores of entering freshmen at various colleges and universities on the College Board's website if you'd like to know where your scores fit in.
