If it's vegetables, meat and .... let's say pasta then that is healthy. Maybe do some research on healthy foods and suggest some to the lunch staff to create healthier (But Nice) school lunches =D

If you have a thermos, soup is a good idea as the flu season is approaching. Also it is reusable, making your lunches green. Sandwiches always work, pnut butter may no longer be allowed, so try sending cheese or you can try almond butter and Nutella. cheese and crackers us an old favorite and depending on the age of your child, you can cut the inot fun shapes, or if you have a teen that thinks that is lame, then you can leave it. If they have a lunch box with tupperware, then youu also have an easy way of getting leftovers used without them sitting in the fridge for days and days.
