In religious literature, this question is asked by Peter to Jesus. "Where are you going?" or "Whither goest thou?". As Peter is fleeing Rome, so as to attempt to avoid his crucifixion, Jesus replies, proverbially, "Eo Romam iterum crucifigi" or "I am going to Rome to be crucified again.".

In John 13:36, in the Latin (or Vulgate) translation of the Bible, Peter asks this question of Jesus, to which Jesus replies, "I am going where no one can go".
