Even though there are moons that are larger than Mercury, they are not classified as planets because they do not have their own orbit around the sun. They instead orbit around a planet as it revolves around the sun.
This type of relationship is easily recognized from our own planet Earth with our own Moon. The Moon circles around us in cycles, hence we see different phases of the moon every night. If the Moon's revolution did not go around us and instead went around the sun, it would probably be classified as a dwarf planet such as Pluto.
Mars, because Mercury is the smallest planet we have now either than pluto when it used to be a planet. Hope this helped! Caleigh (kay-lee)
You would be able to see most of them, though they would have to be in the right place. Observation of them would be inhibited by the larger apparent sun size, but the lack of atmosphere on mercury would serve as an advantage, giving clearer skies.
The planets within our solar system that have a magnetic field are: Earth, Jupiter, Mercury (though it is weak), Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus.
Mercury is the Speediest planet in our solar system.
The two planets in our solar system with little to no atmosphere are Mercury and Mars. Both planets have extremely thin atmospheres compared to Earth, with Mercury's atmosphere consisting mainly of oxygen, sodium, hydrogen, helium, and potassium, and Mars' atmosphere comprised primarily of carbon dioxide.
Mars is the second smallest planet, Mercury is the smallest. So out of the eight planets, it is comparitively small. Mars' diameter is about half that of Earths. The Gas giant planets are much larger than the inner planets, so these would dwarf the planet Mars (and Earth).
My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas(Mercury Venus Earth Mars Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto)
Mercury is about less than half the size of the earth. Venus is about the same size. Mars is a little more than half the size of earth. Jupiter is more than 11 times larger than earth. Saturn is 9 times larger. Uranus is 4 times larger. Neptune is not quite 4 times larger. And poor Pluto, though no longer considered a planet, is one-fifth the size of earth. See Related Link, below.

There are three other planets smaller than the Earth; Mercury (smallest), Mars, and Venus (nearly the same size as Earth).Eris, Ceres, Haumea, and Makemake are all dwarf planets, smaller than our moon. Pluto and Charon are also dwarf planets, even though they have moons.
The four inner, terrestrial or rocky planets all have similar densities, much higher than the four outer gas giant planets (though the outer planets are much larger and more massive).
No, Venus has no confirmed moon also. All of the other planets have at least one moon though.
