Why do African Americans not value education as much as other people?

Im going to get really deep with this so listen. African Americans, particularly males, have been unseemingly disintrested in their education for the past tens of generations. Our ancestors who partook in slavery literally diminished barriers sorted by otherd for us to be deprived of higher learning and achievement. They learned in the dark, hidden in woods, under their bunks, and where ever else allowed them safe confidence. We went from struggling for safe confidence to struggling for confidence period. We had it all and appreciated it with our medical footprint, scientific inventions, endless literature, professors and engineers. What we have now is a society that simply is born into a conditioning contrary to their actual paths. We as Afican Americans are off course as a people - not in comparrison to anyone else. The fact that a white man, an Indian man, or a purple man would trust his own first is natural. We need each other to recognize whats in his fellow man - eanest enough to teach him so, treat him so, and keep him so. Lets stop the biggotry, name calling, violence, and indifference to one another. We always see the negative in a neighbor before even forcing the positive. Peer pressure, I think has very little to do with it - that's not what lifes about. We are brain washed. We do not know who we were or who we really are.I may be a pro football player but if You are a ''pro''fessional lawyer you can make as much as me without even gettin as beat up as I do. Your physical ability can be taken your knowledge cant be.

because africans consiter education a priority. It's preached(especially the parents) to their children at young ages. africans love to live the good life, which means being successful, buying a good home, car, send money to their individual countries to build houses, help other family members and etc. So for the most part africans feel to get to that education is basically the only way. today as a result you see many African immigrants, first or second generation africans(especailly ethiopains, ghanaians, nigerians, kenyans, and etc) in high paying lucrative jobs such as doctors, pharmacist, nurses, enginears, dentist, business men, entrepreanuers and etc. Also it's a shame in the African community if you don't get a education, that you get labeled, so africans don't want to be in that arena, so they go to school.

It was difficult because most African Americans were thought to be just property, not actual human beings to most did not learn much at all but some did because in the South, the slave owners would treat their slaves with a lot more respect than the slave owners did in the North.
