because those people usually make up things or meet a couple that are like that. these people are usually silly enough to spread it around and make everyone else think that too! but not all of are! FACT: only .2% of Gothics are like that! SO LISTEN UP! All the Gothics i know are Christians and people who love God!
Really, Wicca is a very positive religion, with many variations. The central negative point is social discrimination. People are closed to wicca now, refering to us a satanists, Devil worshippers, and cult teenagers. And what is really strange, most satanist do not even beilive in satan. You will need to keep your religion a secret, and prepare for negative talk about wicca. Do advertise yourself as a Wiccan, keep your religion to yourself. The most concentrations of wicca are in russia, USA, Britain,Ireland, Austrailia, and Canada.
Because of religious rights "the" can't ban Wicca or Satanism for the same reason. Wiccans are NOT satanists. Wiccans can be considered the European earth-based religion which predates Christianity. Satanists are very different!
The Wiccan use of the term "witch" to describe a practitioner of the Wicca belief created a false association of Wicca with Satanism, based on the fact that Christians used the word "witch" to refer to one who has made a pact with Satan in exchange for supernatural powers. In actuality, Wicca is similar to druidism. The Wicca faith is based heavily around nature. To answer your question, if you were asking whether Wiccans were Satanists, the answer is no. If you were asking whether "Wiccans" and "Witches" referred to the same thing, the answer is yes. Also, if you're further interested in Wicca,Wikipedia is a fine source of information (as always).

Absolutely NOT. Wicca is a nature based religion based on the beliefs practiced by Pagans for thousands of years. Satan is a belief based on Judaio/Christian testaments and the practice of Satanism was taken from that belief. Wiccans do not believe in Hell, heaven nor the original sin and therefore cannot worship "the devil"or "satan". There are Satanists, of course but they are not connected to Wicca.
Wicca has its own scriptures.
Wicca isn't based anywhere.
Well Wicca is a religion basically based on belief in a lot of mysterious deep things. I myself find that I am into faerie things and impossibilities. I believe it is just the way of being into things that other people don't really believe in. It may also have to do with the fact that faeries first came about in Celtic stories and Celtic people were very much into Wicca. Wicca is, a lot of the time, tied in with mystical creatures and such because Wicca is the "witch" religion.
Wicca is a diverse religion that is practiced internationally. At a spiritual level Wicca can be interpreted as many different things. For instance people who practice Norse, Celtic, Greek, Inca, traditional Native American, and ancient Chinese paths are often considered Wiccan. Wicca is a nature-based religion that focuses on the cycles of the earth. Because of this many spiritual paths follow the basic principals of Wicca. Depending on one's interpretation of Wicca it is practiced in almost every country in the world. But, commonly people who are 'self-proclaimed' Wiccans reside in North America and Europe.
Wicca isn't based anywhere.
No. Wicca is a religion, not a language.
While there are some people who claim that they are the member of a bloodline in which witchcraft and skill in magic was strong, there is limited evidence for it and Wicca does not treat them any differently. Anyone can be a Wiccan.
