Why reading is so important:

• You can learn a lot by reading -- when you can't talk to a person directly, you can read what they know and learn it
• You can learn how to cook, speak other languages, fix a car build a library, and much more with the how to books.
• It also helps children concentrate on being obedient if you give them educational books. Educational books helps people with bad manners, bad discipline, and disobedience.
• Reading books help children with their vocabulary.If students read more their spelling with get better as well.
• It is how we discover new things. Books, magazines and even the Internet are great learning tools which require the ability to read and understand what is read. A person who knows how to read can educate themselves in any area of life they are interested in. We live in an age where we overflow with information, but reading is the main way to take advantage of it.

Reading is important because so many aspects of our lives depend on it. We need to read in order to fill out a job application and to followed written instructions and directions. We need to be able to read and understand the information that comes with prescription medication as well as the side effects. Reading makes our lives easier in countless ways. It is a skill we want to be able to pass on to our children.
