Why is spanish so complicated?

The English language is so complicated because of it's origins and changes through the years. Unlike many other languages, it is made up of many different languages from across the world, making it very complicated.

Learning english is not easy...In fact ,with many reasons ,it becomes difficult for you.first,,without passion it's hard to learn it.second,,without patience we can hardly practice it regularly..............

Spanish is complicated because its not the language we grew up with, so what is your problem. Yo goin round hatin on spanish freaks. I know Mexicans are famous for goin on jailbreaks, but what does that have to do with their language?

I am familiar with several languages - English (native tongue), French, German, Russian, Latin, some Italian; and (Castilian) Spanish, and I can honestly say that Spanish is by comparison far from complicated, It is essentially phonetic, so that reading it out loud is quite easy after some study, and spelling is fairly simple. The structure of the language inclines to economy and simplicity, and although case and gender can be a problem for English-speakers, again by comparison with the other languages mentioned, it is a model of simplicity.

Like any (foreign) language, there are difficulties when the popular version of the language, as against the formal kind is used, mainly because of slang phrases, idioms, cultural and subcultural references, etc., which you either know or don't know and are less related to the structure of the language, but this is the case in most other tongues.
