Why is the NEA against home schooling?

Because it's a threat to their job(s). Along with many jobs of Public School Teachers across the country. Think of all that money Public Schools would lose and how many Public School Teachers would lose their jobs if more parents decided to have their children home schooled or sent to a private school. Or if more people took their lives into their own hands.
