because the earth is green
18 miles Not 18 miles the deepest part of the ocean is off the coast to Japan and that is 7 miles so i would say 3 miles but way off the coast. On the baech reamember there is not a drop off till you get way off the coast so just stay on the coast line
There are several reasons - the first has to do with the reflection of sunlight. Blue wavelengths of light bend more easily, and are reflected off the surface of the water, thus making it appear blue. The water also reflects the color of the sky, so that on cloudy days, it seems more gray than blue. The amount of suspended matter in the water also plays a role, as does the position of the observer.
See the sky reflects its blue color so it appears to to u as shades of blue Hey that rhymed! :D
Water cycles up the east coast from the equatorial region (Caribbean Sea) in what's know as the Gulf Stream, so it's relatively warm. Water on the west coast cycles down from the arctic (Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska), so its relatively cold.
When you look into an ocean or a lake, the water looks like it's blue. But, up close, water isn't really blue. It's only blue when you look at it in big groups, (like an ocean or a lake, a pond etc.), because the sky is blue, so the color of the sky makes a blue reflection on the water, making it look blue. So, on a map, if you drew water as clear, nobody would be able to tell there was anything there at all! So, water on a map is drawn blue instead.
Blue the color of water and water bending
Water may be so blue in the Keys and not Myrtle Beach because its color is gotten from the blue in the sky and there may be clearer, bluer skies there.
Blue is water. So animals that live in water.
North American has the Atlantic Ocean off the east coast, and the Pacific Ocean off the west coast. So, therefore, North America is not landlocked.
Heating copper sulfate crystals causes the water molecules within the crystal to be driven off. This removes the water of hydration, leaving behind anhydrous copper sulfate, which is white in color. The blue color of the crystal is due to the presence of water molecules, so removal of water results in the disappearance of the blue color.
well, I'm not sure who named it or when, but in French, "Côte d'Azur" means "Azure Coast." So it's probably referring to the bright blue of the water along it's coastline.
They are blue because the sky's color is reflected in the water. The water is actually clear, but looks blue because of the sky. During cloudy days and storms, the color is more grayish than blue. It reflects the colour of the sky. It is blue because of the sky. It reflects off the sky.
