Petrochemical engineering is a sub-branch of the wide discipline of chemical engineering, It is very much similar to chemical engineering in the way it specializes in production of petrochemicals.
For a career in chemical engineering one should consider courses in chemistry and biology. After that courses to take include business and management and biotechnology.
A math, D&T, physics,chemistry. It is necessary if you want to do engineering.
