You should be able to get into Upenn or Duke, but forget about Harvard and MIT they almost never let people in with shaky grades. Try several different schools that you would like to go to and that you think might accept you. I have heard of someone with a 2.8 average and got into Harvard because of his sport and community activities. Just try harder and try to bring it above a 3.0 and you should be fine.
Progress report grades are the grades given half way through a semester to show the student their current grades. Semester grades are the final grade given at the end of the term.
Generally, the only grades that show up on your high school transcript are those for the semester. Quarterly grades are however helpful progress reports for the students.
I believe only semester grades. Hope this helps, regards, Ryan :)
universities don't look at igcse they look at AS or A2. the only igcse grade that matter is maths where you need a D and English which i think is a E. Igcse is just to get into the said AS or A2 course
In Kindergarten through 12th Grade there are usually 4 marking periods called quarters.Colleges or Universities usually have 2 official marking periods at the end of each semester or term. Students are sometimes also given grades midterm (exactly half-way through the semester/term). However, these grades are not recorded on an official transcript.
Unfortunately, it takes a great deal of time, often a month or more. I have started a new semester and did not known what my grades from the previous semester were.
Except for German which is high, the grades are average at most universities.
a high school transcript shows the individual semester grades for each class. the semester grade is composed of the two quarter grades and the exam, with the exam counting as a lesser percentage than each quarter grade.
That is always a matter of controversy. Many institutions have guidelines, but don't enforce them. Students would like their grades in a timely fashion, if for no other reason than to help plan for the next semester's courses.
My parents will acclaim me if I get good grades this semester.
It depends on your grades the whole semester whether they're good then you should get passed on
The calculation of the grade average for courses completed is called a "grade point average" (GPA), which can be calculated semester by semester, or cumulatively.
