Got the U.S. Army to scrap plans of putting dogs on the firing line for troops to shoot. Stopped, shut down roadside zoos which were horrendous and bad for any caged animals. Stopped cruel animal shows in Vegas. Like Orangutans that were beaten backstage, out of view. Got Taiwan to stop drowning stray dogs/cats. And, Puppy Mills are closed and people charged for cruelty and horrendous conditions the poor animals are put thru. When their done having another litter, many are discarded or killed. I don't agree with everything PETA does or advocates, not even a member. But the thoughtless cruelty shown to animals is appalling and sad. PETA and other animal welfare groups can and do make a difference, all over the globe. It usually doesn't hurt humans to be kind to animals. Be well.
