i got 49 rank. and according 2 d new rule as released on d dce site (link is http://dce.ac.in/cee/catattention.php), i guess d top rankers who r invited in d top 400 will get comp or electronics if dey want easily, according 2 last year branch cutoffs.
so if dey take dose branches, den automatically v get d benifit as dey leave d obc seats fr general ones. our rnks r upgraded. total seats r expected 2 b arnd 55-57, so v cn easily get manuf n auto, prod, ice, it, civil, biotech, etc.
dats my take on it.

i am an alumini of iit now in iisc but i will say iisc is way ahead in research. if you say about Btech than iits are good, but there is no btech in iisc so cannot compare...but there is no confusion about it iisc is definitely better.....
