High IQ means people are genius from taking the test even it takes along time to be a high IQ to be a genius.
A test may be reliable but not valid. A test may not be valid but not reliable. For example, if I use a yard stick that is mislabeled to measure the distance from tee to hole in golf on different length holes, the results will be neither reliable nor valid. If you use the same stick to measure football fields that are the same length the result will reliable (repeatable, consistent) but not valid (wrong numbers of yards). There is no test that is unreliable (repeatable, consistent) and valid (measures what we are looking for).
The WISC IQ test is the childrens' version of the WAIS IQ test. Like all IQ tests, it gives a score of intelligence where the average score is 100. 130 is considered gifted (And MENSA level.) 70 is considered retarded. The WISC test gives two different scores, verbal and performance. Verbal IQ indicates how you work with language, including the language of numbers. It also includes factual knowledge. Performance IQ indicates how you deal with written and picture patterns. WISC scores how well you do on the test with a number score (your IQ) and a percentile (how good that is compared to others). WISC is used to identify gifted children and struggling children.
Reliable indicates that each time the experiment is conducted, the same results are obtained (accuracy). Valid indicates the experiment (or test) has controlled variables and used an appropriate method/model.
There are many creative descriptions of IQ and the meaning of the number. My psycology "Tests and Measures" professor explained it in a way that is probably most accurate. Q: "What does an IQ test measure? A: "IQ" Q: "What is IQ?" A: "What an IQ test measures." That's the moderately entertaining answer to the question. A more detailed answer can take quite an explanation. One description suggests that an IQ is calculated by the following formula: [(Mental age)/(chronological age)] * 100 The currently used IQ tests give scores in different areas, such as verbal, numeric transcription, spatial and any identifiable and measurable ability that they want to measure. The idea is to have enough questions and of different levels of difficulty that just about everyone will be unable to answer EVERY question correctly. By comparing the number of correct answers to a cross section of the population the test creators can project where someone fits on the continuum. By comparing scores to the scores that the testers have already collected, they will be able to determine which "percentile" or standard deviation the individual fits on. The Standard deviation corresponds to an IQ score, giving perhaps a little more meaning to the results of an IQ test. But I personally prefer my professors original answer.
Really don't know I scored 136 on the classic IQ test on new Tickle site recently acquired by Monster.com....Its called testq.com
The estimated IQ of Sigmund Freud is 156. This is just an estimation. Actually it's impossible to know for sure the IQ of someone who never took such a test.
It should not. To obtain the most reliable score possible, everyone should have the IQ test administered in their native language.
no __________________________________________________________________ I think it would depend on where you are getting it, because the online IQ tests are probably not reliable. Second Answer From: TheOneWhoAnswers Hope This Helps! :)
Take a valid IQ test or some sort of standarized test that corresponds to your IQ.
You can take a real IQ test at licensed psychologists or psychologists who specialize in conducting assessments. Education or testing centers may also offer IQ tests. Online platforms may offer IQ tests, but they may not be as reliable or accurate as those administered by professionals.
The accuracy of the Mensa online IQ test may vary. It can provide a general idea of one's intelligence level, but it may not be as reliable as a professionally administered IQ test. It's important to consider the limitations of online tests and consult with a qualified psychologist for a more accurate assessment.
The only way to get a real IQ test that is reliable and valid (meaning, it measures your intelligence accurately) is to get professionally tested through a mental health professional or testing center using a carefully researched and designed measure. The reason for this is that it takes lots of research and development (ie time and money) to create and test an accurate IQ test, and thus you will always be charged to take a real IQ test.
The average IQ of any normal individual is set at 100. However, keep in mind that an IQ score can have a deviation of up to 10-15 points. If you took an online IQ test such as the Tickle IQ Test. Throw the test result out of the window. The Tickle IQ Test is a test designed for adults and is not an actual IQ Test. Under no circumstances should a kid take an IQ Test that is developed for adults. Alfred Binet created the first IQ Test and his IQ test was created for children based on ages 3-15. I operate a site that features IQ Tests for kids called Kids IQ Test Center. We have 4 IQ Tests for kids and they are all loosely based on Alfred Binet's concept of testing children by their age group. Likewise, our IQ Tests featured are the Toddler IQ test designed for young children ages three. The 2nd Kids IQ Test is developed for children ages 4-6. The 3rd intelligence test for kids is developed for kids ages 7-9 and the last Kids IQ Test is for kids 10-15. Unless your parents are wealthy, I would suggest that you take a test on our site. We definitely have one for your age group and the cost of the test is very affordable at $9.95 USD. I hope this has helped answer your question.
