Im a student myself and i know that if you give a student too much freedom they can become pretty rude and very clingy they can practically find ways to get around the teachers which is very rude. but if you ask me some students like myself ... lol are pretty hard working and they always get told off with the class so you have to give freedom to those that actually care about work ETC hope this helps
