A gas lawn mower is a lawn mower which is powered by gasoline.
Most lawn mowers have 4-stroke gas engines. Some have 2-cycle, and if you are talking about riding mowers, some even have diesel.
it needs gas
A lawn mower works by converting chemical energy (energy stored in the gas) to mechanical energy.
Drain the gas out.For more information please see the answer to the Related Question shown below.

There should be a sticker/stamp an the engine somewhere. It will give you a few specifications about the mower.
Drain it and dilute with gas while engine is hot so that you can burn it out. You will be hard pressed to crank it cold on diesel. If the engine is cole, spray carb cleaner in carb to warm it and burn it clean.

If it's a diesel engine mower than you can convert the used veggie oil to bio diesel and use it however if your mower is gas powered than no you cannot, the reason being that diesel engines use high compression in order to be able to ignite and use the low octane diesel or biodiesel fuels where as gas engines do not need to do this as gas is highly combustable even at atmospheric pressure. And just another thing about this I have heard of people mistakingly putting gas into a diesle engine and blowing the engine apart because of the explosive combo of super high compression and the gasses high octane rating, NOT Good. Hope this helps
Only if it is a two-stroke (two-cycle) engine.
