No. They sputter for a few seconds then quit running.
Cars do backfire because of the mechanical failures.
If it's running lean or if you're using low octane gas.
If it backfires after you shut it off then it is probably running too rich. Any unburned gas the that is exhausted out and into the muffler will explode with a backfire. With a 1990 model you won't have the anti-backfire solenoid on the bottom of the carb like the newer ones have. If it backfires while it is running it might be out of time. Check the keyway between the crank and flywheel to make sure it is not partially sheared.
running lean can cause your 400ex to backfire ..if it backfires on deceleration its lean ...if it pops on acceleration its running rich.====carb issues
If your car is running when parked then it is burning gas. Cars use gasoline to run the engine.
bad gas try some dry gas
bad gas
If it will start it will lope up and down and act like its running outta gas. I had one backfire and barely run above an idle.
because you have to much gas in the motor
The 2011 Hybrid Cars aren't electric. They are running on gas, but they are more efficient because they get more miles per gallon. So it takes less gas to get you further away.
