I'm going through this right now and all I can say is put some plastic over it until you fix the problem. I took the door panel off and could see the motor and the arm that controls the up and down motion of the window. I pulled on it pretty hard and it did not move 1 mm. My window would power down but not up. I've did a little research and it looks like it is my switch. I will pick one up tomorrow and see if it works. It is suppose to rain so I taped some plastic around it. I sure hope that is the problem, so I can get my window up. I know this is a band-aid answer, but I pulled hard on it and like I said it did not move. I'm sure something would have to get disconnected, but then the window would probably fall down
same way hold the switch down and slam the door shut.
Eat it
window regulator
Yes
Binding window trim. Can you help it up. Silicone spray the window tracks. test the window switch
Anyone have prob w/ sentra power window? Won't go up or down. IF YOUR WINDOW IS NOT MOVING AT ALL(UP OR DOWN) IT IS YOUR MOTOR BUT IF IT IS MOVING EITHER UP OR DOWN, MEANING IT WILL MOVE ONE DIRECTION BUT NOT ANOTHER THEN IT'S YOUR SWITCH
You can grab this will both hands and gently tug while pushing the window up button. If this doesn't work, you can take it to a mechanic.
If there is any of the window up and you can grab it you can pull it up and then with both hands, one on each side, push the window up. If it is completely down you can't do it. How about removing the power window switch and either replacing it or wire around it long enough to get the window up.
u have to have the window rolled down about 4 inches. If the window is stuck up force it down and you can access 2 bolts holding it to the window. Only force it if you plan to replace the regulator.
Broken regulator. REplace it. Here's how:http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/replace-a-power-window-motor-regulator
Probably the the motor/regulator assembly. I was able to pull mine up with my hands then tape it up. A new motor/regulator cost me $300.
If you can still here the motor for the window working, you can try making it go in the up and then down position (you should be able to feel and here it make the sound it makes when the window is going up and down.) After a few times of doing this, leave it in the down position, then gently but firmly push the window all the way down until you can almost not see the window anymore. Then, click the button to make it go up and mine works after doing that. Mine usually does that when it's really cold outside.
