Basic turbo kits cost around $3000 just for the parts. Labor to install is astronomical as well.

To spend that money on a turbo kit on a high mileage engine wouldn't be cost effective/recommended. You should rebuild it and install turbo pistons, forged rods and then you could take advantage of the turbo.
You need a computer the oil booster the turbo, header pipe and all the inteake plumbing off of the 88 7mgte motor. and simply install this should all cost about 150 to about 300 bucks just shop around
