I can't answer specifically without more information, but on a drive-by-wire throttle on a newer vehicle, if you press the gas pedal and nothing happens, it means that the sensor is not getting information to the computer. In slightly older vehicles, this problem would have indicated a fairly easy to fix throttle cable breakage, but your gas pedal would also be on the floor. In newer vehicles where there is no throttle cable to the engine compartment, the sensor that detects how far you have pushed the pedal down could be defective or a wire may have become broken or disconnected. Without much technical savvy, you can make sure that the connector on the sensor is firmly connected. Beyond that will likely require a Benz mechanic.
