A condition where fuel in gaseous form prevents the engine from starting typically occurs when the fuel is vaporized excessively, leading to a "vapor lock." This situation can arise when the fuel lines or the fuel pump heat up, causing the liquid fuel to vaporize before it reaches the engine. As a result, the engine may not receive enough liquid fuel for proper combustion, hindering the starting process. Additionally, high temperatures or low fuel pressure can exacerbate this issue.

it prevents you from starting the engine while the transmission is in either DRIVE or REVERSE
4 minutes before starting engine, and anytime your idling or driving at low speeds. It also says you should not run blower during refueling, but for 4 minutes after your done "before starting engine". This prevents blower from drawing gas fumes into the engine compartment.
the immobilizer prevents then engine from starting when for instance someone is trying to steal the car. if you have the proper key this should not engage.
It sounds like ths A/C compessor is starting to seize.
The Gaseous buildup inside of the internal combustion chamber would cause engine failure, the engine to blow, and explode litterally
