defnetly diesel
diesel.
Diesel.
Yes, diesel trucks generally get much better gas mileage than regular gas trucks. They even sometimes get better gas mileage than hybrid trucks.
It obviously depends on the cars being compared but generally Diesel provides better gas mileage.
You get much better gas mileage from diesel, but environmentalists don't like how dirty the exhaust from diesel is.
It better not get good GAS MPG because the t444e is a diesel motor
Yes, they get better mileage, more torque, and are cleaner burning. You can tow twice that with a diesel pickup than you could with a gas pickup. Diesel cars get amazing mileage. 55mpg for a volkswagen Jetta TDI.
----- 1/15/09 ----- It depends on which engine it has, gas or diesel. Generally speaking the diesel will get better gas mileage, but has higher fuel and maintenance costs. Need more info.......... (which engine, automatic or manual transmission)
Are diesel engines better than gas engines is sort of a yes and no question. Diesel engines generally get better fuel mileage and last longer overall. But, gas engines are easier to maintain on your own and gasoline is much more readily available than diesel fuel is on the whole.
Diesels almost always get better mileage than gas engines, some like the Volkswagen diesel are very efficient. The fuel is quite a bit more expensive though so do some math first before buying. Compare the mileage estimate of the diesel and the price per gallon of fuel against the same data for the gas. The best solution would be a gas electric hybrid.
Gas mileage will be right about zero, because if you put gas in a diesel, you'll ruin it.
If your asking what vehicle or engine get the best mileage, it would have to be either a hybrid/4cyl. compact or a compact turbo diesel 4cyl./manual transmission. The diesel can actually get better economy is certain conditions than a hybrid/gas 4cyl.
