I have a 2005 ML500 special edition Mercedes Benz and I want to know where is the fuse for the radiator fan?
The radiator fan module is typically located near the radiator or attached to the fan assembly itself, depending on the vehicle model. In addition to the fuse in the fuse box under the hood, there may also be a separate relay for the radiator fan that can be found in the fuse box or a relay panel. It's important to consult your vehicle's service manual for specific locations and details. If the fans are not operating, check both the fuse and the relay for proper function.
SHould be under the hood in a black box labeled FAN
The fuse locations are generally under the dash, under the hood or under the rear seat. You can hotwire the fans to the battery to check their operation. Assuming they are fine, there will be a fuse and/or relay and/or a fan relay module that is usually mounted to the body down underneath the motor compartment in relative proximity to the radiator/fans.
Blown fuse, defective thermal relay, or bad fan motor.
Could be a bad fuse Could be a bad temp sensor Could be a bad relay
Blown fuse, Heat sensor broken or disconnected, thermostat jammed
The radiator coolant fan fuse can be found in the fuse box. The radiator fan fuse will be in the second column, fourth from the top.
They are both controlled by Relays and not fuses. I currently have the same problem and am looking into the solution.
look under cover for the fuse boxes and you should see Fan 1, Fan 2, and Fan 3 called out. Those will tell you which relays are for the coolant fans.
radiator coolant switch, pcm coolant switch, relay , pcm , related circuitry or fuse.
In the cooler weather we are having, they will probably take longer to come on. The side effect though has been the temperature guage spiking big time. Only spikes during city traffic, not highway. Oil is fine, radiator fluid is fine. Just those stupid fans don't ever fire up.
Hi,The fuses for the radiator fans are located in the Under-hood fuse block, which is located just above the battery. I believe there are actually two fuses: COOL FAN 1 & COOL FAN 2. You can see a diagram on the link provided.Good Luck, Greg
