Acetylene will explode violently at 15 psi causing extreme damage to an internal combustion engine. I would like to know if it can be used as a supplement to gasoline or diesel. Storage is a problem but it can be easily generated on site. It may be better to use it for generating electricity and use an electric car.
acetylene headlamps started appearing on cars around 1905.
Lights can run on electric power, gas or acetylene.
cant be good for you, so why do it.
No, a propane regulator is designed for use with propane gas cylinders and should not be used with an acetylene tank. Acetylene requires specialized equipment, including a regulator specifically designed for acetylene to ensure safe and proper gas flow control. Mixing up regulators for different gases can be dangerous and lead to equipment failure.
Smart cars run on petroleum.
No, cars run on fuel or elecricity.
Oil doesn't run cars it lubricates engines. Cars run on gasoline which is refined from oil.
Hybrid cars do not run on the power of the sun. Hybrid cars use a battery and gas to run.
They are called cars that run on gasoline.
obviously cars can't walk cars run on wheels they don't have legs to run.
98% of cars run on gasoline engines.
We will have to run electric cars, which exist today. There is talk also of cars that run on compressed air. Hydrogen is another fuel source that will run cars if we can manufacture it cheaply enough, and store it safely in the cars.
