Yes, if a sufficient quantity of gasoline went through it. Knock in the engine from detonation is going to be the main problem, which could ultimately render the engine useless.

It does not have any sort of fuel type sensor, putting gasoline into the fuel tank of a diesel Mercedes will likely destroy the engine.
Diesel engine parts are more rugged than gasoline engines, so the two should never be used together or mixed. They are made separately for separate purposes for a reason.

While it would be possible to build a hybrid car using a diesel engine instead of the gasoline engine, I do not believe any manufacturers are doing it. This may be because of problems with reliably restarting a diesel engine after stopping it that don't happen with gasoline engines, but I'm not certain.
No, at least not any piston engines. Diesels and gasoline/petrol engines use very different compression ratios, and you really wouldn't be able to use the same engine for those different kinds of fuels. Yes, there were some early farm tractors (1940's-1950's) that started on gasoline and them switched to diesel when the engine was warmed up. They had carburetors, distributors and spark plugs along with diesel fuel injectors.
The gasoline engines have four. The diesel does not have any.The gasoline engines have four. The diesel does not have any.
I would recommend not running the engine until the fuel is drained. Any amount of petrol/gasoline in a diesel can cause engine or fuel system damage.
If the van has a diesel engine, then you MUST use diesel fuel. Unleaded gasoline will destroy a diesel engine. Diesel fuel is also used as a lubricant in a diesel engine. The use of any other fuel except diesel will result in serious damage. If you have put unleaded in your diesel, do not start or drive this vehicle until you drain the tank and change all the fuel filters. If the van has a diesel engine, then you MUST use diesel fuel. Is there any particular model year of Ford E-250 , and is it a gasoline or diesel engine
No, you never, ever, store gasoline in a diesel can under any circumstances. Good way to cause someone to ruin a diesel engine if they used this fuel or someone to get badly burned using this to start a fire thinking it was diesel fuel. Only a utter fool would do this.
diesel cars accelerate faster because a diesel engine produces over twice the torque of a gasoline engine. and the only way to make it go any faster would be to change the rearend ratio or get it tuned by a professional.
