95 Chevy k1500 jumping from closedloop to openloop after engine is warmed up making it run rich and surge and stall out?
I was told that these trucks are notorious for the lines that
come out of the top of the fuel tank that are runing in the tank to
the pump are notorious for going bad(RUST). I have also found in
forums that the throttle position sensor could be causing it, the
mass airflow sensor, theegr valve ect. And the best part is that if
the sensor is half bad and only giving false readings it will not
show up in the ecm. The sensor has to go completley bad to cause
the ecm to pick up the code. Dirty screen in the fuel tank, dirty
fuel filter, fuel filter instaled backwards ect. There is supposed
to be a switch next to the distributor that will shut the fuel pump
down if there is not sufficient oil preasure. It could be going
bad, and then there is the electronic module in the distibutor, and
vacum leaks. There is a long list, if I fix my truck sometime soon
I will let you know..... tbird!!!!!
