You would need a 4 year degree from an accredited college or university. Anyone could call him or herself and electrical engineer, but a degree is required to be official.
The size of the breaker is determined by the smallest conductor used in the system and by the type of load being serviced.
The amount of money that an electrical engineer earns varies mostly depending of qualifications and experience level. Chartered electrical engineers earn about $65,000 per year.

Tesla completed his elementary education in Croatia. He continued his schooling in the Polytechnic School in Graz and finished at University of Prague. He worked as an electrical engineer in Germany, Hungary and France before emigrating to the United States in 1884.
When I was an electrical engineer, I liked to go gliding at the weekend.

To become an electrical engineer, a person would look into a variety of colleges and universities that offer electrical engineering programs. They are typically part of a 4 year program to get a degree in that subject.
The starting salary of an electrical engineer in the United States is approximately $52,990 a year. The highest earning ten percent of electrical engineers make approx. $125,000 a year and median earners of the group make $82,000 a year.
GO TO PHILIPPINES AND BE A CERTIFIED / REGISTERED ELECTRICAL ENGINEER WITHOUT "ING". YOU SHOULD TAKE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FOR FIVE (5) YEARS. THEN TAKE AND PASS GOVERNMENT BOARD EXAMINATION AND BE PROUD THAT YOU ARE LICENSED TO PRACTICE PROFESSION. UNLIKE IN OTHER COUNTRY YOU CAN TAKE 2 OR 3 YEARS FOR "ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY" OR SOMETIMES THE DECEIVING COURSE DESCRIPTION "DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING" WITHOUT BOARD EXAMINATION THEY CAN CLAIM TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER IN THE MIDDLE EAST.
The potential salary for an Electrical Engineer depends on numerous factors, including education and work experience, where you geologically are located at, what area of engineering you are interested at working in, the actual company that would hire you, as well as your ability to negotiate. The median income for a typical Electrical Engineer is $60,000 a year but can go all the way up to $120,000 a year depending on the numerous factors discussed above.
I've been told that it takes 4-6 years on average. I may be wrong though.
The short answer is: yes. An aircraft is, especially these days, a team effort. There could be the chief designer, and aerodynamicist, a structures engineer, an electrical engineer... Think of all of the parts that go to make up a 'plane and then think how hard it would be for one man to learn ALL of the necessary disciplines.
It depends. You can be an EET after two years of college and go right out into a career. Or you can wait it out, do four years, be a genuine EE, and make a lot more money.
To be trained, an engineer needs to go to college and obtain a 4 year degree.
An average electronic engineer makes about $85, 350 per year. This amount can go above $125,000 or fall down below $52,000 per year. Electronic engineer's work is to create, test and oversee various electronic devices.
Absolutely, as vehicles become more and more sophisticated, so does the need for Electrical & Electronics Engineers. I've never heard of an 'automobile engineer' per se (go look up the true definition for 'per se'). It means without exception, few people use it correctly. Anyway, an Automotive Engineer is usually primarily mechanical, but Electrical & Electronics Engineers are needed to design & test all of the monitoring eq. that goes into vehicles. For example, pretty much ALL cars today have a 'brainbox' that controls everything from your horn to the radio, & the interior lights. All of these things, not to mention all of the engine monitoring devices need an electrical/electronics engineer to design them.
