Suggest you get a manual for the control box. Pool controls can be very complex and depend on lots of things. Your heater type, things like multi-speed motors and actuator valve control all add complexity. You also don't say if you need information on high or low voltage side of the wiring. If you have a specific question try that instead of broader question you have posed.

Where do you hook the ground wire on a porcelain light fixture on a metal box?

Connect the ground wire to the metal box.

Can you mix aluminum wire with romex in a junction box?

No, do not mix aluminum wire with copper wire.

Do you need 3-wire romex to feed bedroom ceiling box by electrical code?

No, you can feed it with a 2 wire Romex + ground. It depends on what is mounted on the ceiling. If it is just a light all you need is 2 wire + ground Romex. However if it is a fan/light and you want to control each one independant of the other you will need to use 3 wire Romex + ground. This is of course if you have 2 seperate switches. You would then connect the red wire to the blue light wire and the black wire to the black fan wire. If you use 2 wire Romex just connect the blue and black fan/light wire to the black wire in the ceiling box.

How do you wire touch light control ta-306a?

To wire the TA-306A touch light control, first ensure the power is off. Connect the black (hot) wire from the power source to the black wire on the control module. Then, connect the white (neutral) wire from the power source to the white wire on the control module, and finally, connect the light fixture's black wire to the output black wire on the module, while connecting its white wire to the output white wire. Once everything is securely connected, restore power and test the touch functionality.

Can you run a 240v wire from the electrical panel then put a junction box to run it where you want?

A 240 volt wire is the insulation factor of the wire. If you mean a 240 supply source from a distribution panel to a junction box then the answer is yes. You have to keep in mind that the box has to be accessible, meaning that you can get to the box to check the splice within the box. Don't bury the junction box behind the wall board.

You have 220v wiring 2 hots 1 common from breaker box to pool wiring box Common is wired to equipment ground is that correct?

Correction - 2 hot (2 * 120) = 240 volts common - neutral U R 100% correct PS: 240 motor for pool ? hmmm, learn something everyday The cable from the breaker box to the pool should be a 3 conductor. In that 3 conductor cable there should be a bare ground wire (the ground wire is not included in a cable wire count). The pool ground should be connected to that bare wire, not the white neutral. This bare ground wire is then grounded back at the breaker panel to provide a direct path to trip the breaker in case of a short circuit. Code requires a GFCI ahead of the pool load to detect ground faults. See related links below on GFCI's

How do you wire a two speed pool motor?

Your pool control system must be capable of handling a two speed motor. You'll have to go to the manual to determine connections for your specific motor and controller. You can't effectively use a two speed motor if your control system is not designed and programmed for such a motor.

How do you wire a motion sensor light?

To wire a motion sensor light, first turn off the power to the circuit. Connect the black wire from the light to the black wire in the electrical box, and the white wire from the light to the white wire in the box. Connect the ground wire from the light to the ground wire in the box. Finally, connect the red wire from the motion sensor to the black wire in the box. Secure all connections with wire nuts and mount the motion sensor light according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Can you wire a GFCI in a plastic box?

Yes provided you have a ground, neutral and hot wire coming to the box.

How to extend a wire if an existing wire is short in the junction box?

The answer depends on what type of access you have to the junction box. The wire external to the box may have some slack that can be brought into the box. If everything is tight you will probably have to install one or more additional junction boxes or rerun wire from electric panel. As an example assume that the short wire has no external slack, but you can install a new junction box near the other box and in the path of the short wire. 1. Pull the short wire from existing junction box. 2. Install new box in path of short wire so more slack will be available in the additional junction box; and pull wire into new box. 3. Run a wire of the same size from new to old box and re-splice any connections for original short wire or new connections; and connect this new wire to the original short wire in the new box. Make sure you follow all code requirements for your locale.
