Harmonics is multiple of fundamental frequency. Spurious is not related to fundamental frequency but it is observed at the output spectrum. Harmonics are generated due to non-linearity of the device. Harmonics can generate spurious. As an example harmonics can produce resonance with mechanical box internal structure and can generate spurious.

Harmonics generally generated from TCXO & frequency multipliers. If amplifier is non-linear, this will also generate harmonics. But harmonics very near to carrier generally generates interference to modulating signals. We design final power amplifier as a class AB amplifier to get more output power and better efficiency and also to minimize output power variation with temperature. Since it is non linear amplifier it generates harmonics but it will be very far from carrier and can be filtered easily.

Why even harmonics are not present in push pull amplifier?

Symmetrical push/pull circuits must cancel even ordered harmonics, like f2, f4, f6 and therefore promote odd ordered harmonics, like (f1), f3, f5 when driven into the nonlinear range.

Why is there a harmonics when there is no load?

Harmonics is electric current or voltages that are part of the power system as a result of nonlinear electric loads. If there is no load and a harmonic is present it can present because of a rectifier in the system.

What is triplen harmonics?

The triplen harmonics are defined as the odd multiples of the 3rd harmonic (ex. 3rd, 9th, 15th, 21st etc.). Triplen harmonics are of particular concern because they are zero sequence harmonics, unlike the fundamental, which is positive sequence. The consequence of this fact is that the magnitude of these currents on the 3 phases are additive in the neutral. This can lead to very large currents circulating in the neutral, and unless the neutral is sufficiently oversized this can present a fire hazard. These currents can also circulate in the transformer causing significant overheating there too. Single-phase power supplies for equipment such as electronic ballasts and PCs are the most significant source of Triplen harmonics

What is the fundamental frequency?

For a waveform containing harmonics, the harmonic frequencies are multiples of what is known as the 'fundamental' frequency. For example, for a waveform that contains 'third harmonics', the fundamental frequency is one-third the frequency of the harmonics. The fundamental frequency of vocal folds the speech mechanism as sound generator.

How can I improve my understanding and mastery of harmonics on the guitar?

To improve your understanding and mastery of harmonics on the guitar, practice regularly by experimenting with different harmonic techniques such as natural harmonics, artificial harmonics, and pinch harmonics. Study the theory behind harmonics and how they relate to the guitar's fretboard. Utilize resources like online tutorials, books, and instructional videos to deepen your knowledge. Additionally, listening to and analyzing music that features harmonics can help you develop a better ear for incorporating them into your playing.

Can you tell me about the different techniques used to play string harmonics on the cello?

String harmonics on the cello are produced by lightly touching the string at specific points while bowing, creating a higher pitch than the regular notes. Techniques include natural harmonics, artificial harmonics, and pinch harmonics. Natural harmonics are played by lightly touching the string at specific nodal points, while artificial harmonics involve using two fingers to create the harmonic. Pinch harmonics are created by plucking the string with the thumb while touching it lightly at a specific point.
