Different between led infrared led?

Both are light emitting diodes, but an infrared led emits infrared light in the electromagnetic spectrum. With the naked eye, humans can't see infrared light but many cameras can. Infrared leds are used in remote controls and many other applications.

Are the infrared sensors dangerous?

no

What is a infrared beam?

An infrared beam is often used on a security alarm. When the beam is broken, an alarm sounds. The beam is invisible because infrared is electromagnetic radiation that has longer wavelengths than the ones with visible light.

Who invented LED?

In the fall of 1961, while working at Texas Instruments Inc., James R. Biard and Gary E. Pittman found that gallium arsenide (GaAs) emitted infrared light when electric current was applied. On Aug. 8th, 1962, Biard and Pittman filed a patent based on their findings titled "Semiconductor Radiant Diode" (U.S. Patent US3293513). After establishing the priority of their work based on engineering notebooks predating submissions from G.E. Labs, RCA Research Labs, IBM Research Labs, Bell Labs, and Lincoln Labs at MIT, the U.S. patent office issued the two inventors the first patent for the infrared (IR) light-emitting diode, the first modern LED. After filing the patent, Texas Instruments immediately began a project to manufacture infrared diodes. They announced the first commercial LED product (the SNX-100) in October of 1962.

How does a LED light works in a motion sensor detector?

Two pairs of Infrared LEDs are used as motion sensor detector. The first one is wired to emit LED and the second is wired to transmit a signal when it receives an infrared input. this infrared is reflected back to the receiving LED and then the signal is produced. This signal can be used to open sliding doors, turn on a light or set off an alarm.

How much voltage the infrared LED need to function?

Just under 2 volts

Do heat lamps give of infrared rays?

Normal LED lamps produce almost no infrared light. However, just like there are LEDs in various colors like red and green, there are also infrared LEDs.

Which component can replace the infrared LED in any electronics circuit?

If a circuit requires an IR LED, it requires an IR LED, there is no replacement. If a circuit does not require an IR LED, there is no need to look for a replacement.

What light bulbs produce little infrared?

Essentially, any bulb will produce some infrared, which is most easily detected as heat. The lowest infrared emitter is GENERALLY the Light Emitting Diode or (LED), followed fairly closely by the Compact Fluorescent (or CFL). I say Generally, because an LED can be manufactured to emit any frequency, and there are infrared LEDs, but these are low power and most often used in remote controls.

Where do you find led lights?

You can find them in light bulbs, flashlights and other forms of illumination. If you are looking for LED light bulbs, CREE, PHILIPS, LITENZ are the companies that manufacture LED light bulbs using their own LEDs.

Which light bulbs give off very little energy as infrared rays?

This is true of LED lights

Is an infrared led visible to the naked eye?

The LED itself is visible, the light it emits is not. You can "see" the light by looking at it through a camera, for example the one on your cellphone!

Will a infrared led kept in sunlight glow or not?

There is no such thing as and an infra-red LED. Nor will an any LED glow without a power source. That power may come from a solar cell but an LED (Light Emitting Diode) emits light it does not collect light energy.

How does the IR port in the mobile device communicate with the computer?

Essentially IR port on PDAs or a computer is a serial port with physical connection in form of Infrared light instead of electrical wires. These ports have infrared LED transmitter and Infrared photo diode receivers. You have to have IR built-in to your computer or you have to buy an adapter for it
